3.15.11, GRE Thoughts & WF 2Yr Anniversary!!

Hey, Hey, Hey!! I have been thinking about my GRE Strengths. I naturally do well in the Verbal Portion. So, what I need to do is make sure that the questions asked in that portion of the test are a no brainer for me. I literally have the opportunity to score in the 700-800 range on this portion of the test, which is absolutely doable. So, I am thinking. What if I focus my time and energy on perfecting the areas I’m, strongest in first? This can drive my score. And, even if I am mediocre in the Quant portion, I still score decently. This is totally opposite of the advice I keep hearing. I keep reading focus on your weaknesses first. The logic is so you can get stronger. I understand that. However, it makes sense to me to focus more on my strengths. As, I have taken this test; My Verbal score continually increases. My Quant Score went up a little bit.

Manhattan GRE:

Ok, I finally noticed last Monday, my GRE self study guide was on my front porch hidden behind the arch, lol. I didn’t think to look behind there, until I started thinking it was taking a little longer than I thought it would take to get delivered. So, officially, I got the books on 3/7/11. I have only had the chance to look through the books. But, I hadn’t officially started going through the course. One thing that has been helpful for building my Vocab is reading the daily GRE Blog that comes to my hotmail account (Side Note: Shots out to Jen for writing the daily blogs!) They are a challenge to adapt into everyday thinking, but helps a great deal to reinforce the words that I have been learning on my IP4 Gre Applications. Yesterday was especially a good one. I was like, “hey I tested on all these words just a couple of days ago…Cool Beans!” I did have the chance to go through the first 5-10 Pages of the Quant Algebra Start Book on Tuesday of last week. It was more so a review for me since I have been through the basic material before. I want to reiterate the importance of possibly doing a math refresher course. It has really helped me. If you don’t have the time to commit to an actual in person course, purchase MathTutorDvd. It is a big help. At any rate, that is all for now. I’ll have to post again later when my mind is a little more focused.  Oh yeah, and today is my 2yr anniversary at Wells Fargo:).

As Always…Be Luv!
