Okay, this is my last post of the day. I am preparing for my son to start a new child development center tomorrow. Last week, he did a trial day at the new center. And, the director was a woman, as usual. But, a light bulb flashed in my head after I finished speaking with her as I was walking back to my car. The thought to myself was, "Ok, these centers are primarily ran by women.....I wonder how many women actually own these centers?" Honestly, it's a good question.
I have not had the opportunity to do research on it yet. However, I am anxious to see the percentage of Women Business Owners in a sector that is primarily ran by women. I know we are smart enough to run the centers. But, let's see how many women actually own the business that provides such a valuable service to both working & nonworking mothers across the world. If we are the primary caretakers in them, surely we should be able to benefit financially by making a smart business decision to own them. Thus, that point presents another question, if women are in minority ownership across the chains, who will provide seed funds for women to buy into the chains & fund growth capital to ensure they are successful financially sound businesses? Ahhh, I just said a mouth full right there!!! Lol, Stay tuned....when I am able to extract some data, I will give an update. As always,Be Luv, Rashida
Nice post!
