8.6.2010...Having Courage & Faith Beyond The Doubt!

Today, I am going to post some pics of times in my life where I have pushed myself pass doubt, over the fence & accomplished a goal that challenged me to dig deeper, believe, and have faith (the pics are from my 20's: cheerleading, pageantry, the air force, and publishing my first book in 2006, and me as a Single Mami' (29 (now) , I had my beuatiful boy at 27. I have spent the last 3 yrs of my 20's giving to him & establishing my family. The end result of these experiences were, in fact, pivotal points in my life that created a deep solid sense of self & strong beautiful character. Looking back in retrospect, I am so glad that I didn’t quit when that little voice inside told me to give up (and in all these experiences before I became a mother, there was a moment, or a couple that the voice told me to just walk away)...I didn't!

So, I want to speak briefly about having faith. There are times along my journey that I get to analyzing things a little to much. It is good to have a solid footing on the situation at hand. However, it is another thing to look at all the things that present a challenge and allow that to cause doubts within.

It goes to a simple principle called faith. You have to be disciplined enough to remain constant in a belief within yourself and a higher power that what you desire is possible, regardless of what obstacles stand in the way. Sometimes, there are people that stand in our way. I am a certified believer of severing ties that are a hindrance of character growth and development. If these people truly want the best for you, they will understand that the season previously shared has passed; and, growth into the next phase of life has nothing to do with them. That is okay. It is okay to let go.

I have never had an experience that challenged me that did not cause me to dig deeper and find within myself the courage to take one more step in order to develop my character. Curerntly, as a Single Parent I do it everyday. And, as a mother, I realize that all those experiences from my past helped to pull the best out of me so that I could give my best to others. Life is about giving:).
It takes faith to keep believing in what I know to be possible, even when it is not tangible yet. With that being said, if you are challenged on your journey, no matter what the journey is, be encouraged & believe in yourself. Trust that you are valuable and have smoothing to offer & keep pushing fwd to conquer whatever it is you desire to achieve.
As always….Be Luv! Rashida
P.S. Remember I mentioned my next book at the beginning of the year.....it is forthcoming, I am making progress!
